Amy has been a biographer and an educator for over 37 years. She taught family history and genealogy both in the classroom and online at Brigham Young University and has given presentations throughout the United States on writing personal histories, conducting oral histories, and finding genealogical resources. Amy has written over 60 biographies and histories of various sizes throughout the years and continues to learn important life lessons from each client.
Amy graduated from Brigham Young University with a master’s degree in library and information science, a bachelor’s degree in European studies, and an associate degree in professional genealogy. Amy is the granddaughter of Stella H. Oaks. She and her husband, Lance, have five children and three grandchildren.
