Because of her… these stories exist.
Each tribute honors a woman whose strength, sacrifice, and determination changed a life.
Betty Davis
Because of her, our family has a foundation of love and stability that never wavers. She gives so much of herself each day—balancing responsibilities, supporting our children, and still finding ways to lift me when I need it most. I’ve watched her handle challenges with patience and determination, often putting others before herself without hesitation. She celebrates the small victories, steadies us through the hard moments, and keeps us moving forward together. Our home is stronger, kinder, and more hopeful because of her influence. I am constantly reminded of how much she does, often without recognition. Because of her, I am a better husband, and our children are growing up surrounded by love and strength.

Debbie Reynolds
Because of her, I always knew I had someone in my corner. She has been a constant source of encouragement, reminding me of who I am when I forget and pushing me to keep going when things feel hard. She has faced her own challenges with quiet strength, never asking for recognition but always deserving it. I’ve watched her care for others with patience and compassion, giving more than she ever expects in return. She listens, supports, and shows up in ways that truly matter. Because of her, I have learned the value of resilience and loyalty. I am grateful not just for what she does, but for who she is every single day.

Doris Day
Because of her, I always felt loved and special. I went to school every morning in freshly pressed dresses with my hair neat and combed, my lunch pail full, and my homework done. My mother was the first one awake and the last one asleep and she never complained. She used to send notes in my lunch like “you are beautiful,” “you are my sunshine,” and “make someone’s day.” She was a wonderful optimist and that joy filled our home. I felt like I could do anything because Mom told me I could and I believed her. Thank you mom for filling my childhood with wonderful memories and for sacrificing so much for our family.

Ginger Rogers
Because of her, our home was always filled with warmth, no matter what we were going through. She had a way of turning hard days into manageable ones, often with a simple meal, a kind word, or a quiet moment together. She showed me what perseverance looks like by continuing forward when things felt uncertain. I watched her solve problems, make sacrifices, and keep our family moving ahead with grace. She didn’t just tell me to be strong—she showed me every day. Because of her, I learned how to keep going when things are difficult and how to care for others along the way. Her example continues to guide me in ways I am still discovering.
Nominated by her son, John Rogers
Audrey Hepburn
Because of her, I never doubted that I mattered. She made ordinary days feel safe and steady, even when life was anything but. She worked long hours, yet still found time to sit with me at the kitchen table, helping with homework and listening to every small detail of my day. She taught me how to be responsible, but also how to be kind. I remember the way she cheered the loudest at every event and quietly encouraged me when things didn’t go my way. She carried more than I understood at the time, but she never let it weigh down our home. Because of her, I learned what strength looks like—and how to give it to others.
Nominated by her daughter, Cathy Hepburn Tilton
Rosemary Clooney
Because of her, I have never had to face life’s challenges alone. She has a way of showing up at exactly the right time, offering support, encouragement, and perspective when I need it most. She listens without judgment and gives advice with honesty and care. I’ve seen her extend that same kindness to so many others, always willing to help and never expecting anything in return. She brings light into difficult situations and reminds people of their worth. Because of her, I’ve learned how important it is to be present for others and to lead with compassion. Her friendship has been a steady and meaningful part of my life.
